Each October, Rock Castle is transformed back to its former way of life, as historical reenactors and demonstrators recreate a 1784 landscape for guests to explore!
Participants will engage with 18th century tradesmen and women including a blacksmith, log hewer, and pottery artisan. They will enjoy hands on interactions with goats and chickens, and even test their skill on the dance floor with a 5 piece band and dance caller! And the highlight of the day may be the historical Magic Show by none other than Rodney the Younger, or perhaps the Mounted Cavalry techniques demonstration!
Thanks to our generous sponsors, Sumner Harvest is offered free of charge to all Sumner County Schools 4th graders. Parents/chaperones, students from outside Sumner County, private school students, and homeschoolers are welcome to enjoy the event as well, for only $5/guest. Reservations are required for all groups arriving in buses or paying together, and carpooling is strongly recommended.
Dates: Thursday and Friday, October 17 & 18, 2019 — 9:00am - 2:00pm
