Living History Festival
Rock Castle Living History Festival
Step back in time each fall as Historic Rock Castle comes alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of 1784!
Immerse yourself in 18th-century life with skilled historic artisans and demonstrators—from master blacksmiths and log hewers to traditional potters. Meet friendly heritage farm animals, kick up your heels to lively period tunes with an authentic dance caller, and discover the lost art of textiles as raw wool transforms through natural dyes and heritage weaving on the loom. Feel the ground shake during live militia drills and thrilling historic cannon demonstrations, and be amazed by mind-bending period parlor magic that will delight all ages!
